Is it safe to travel during pregnancy third trimester?
Im 32 weeks and we have a family wedding in another city next month. Its like a 6 hour car ride. Thoda tension hai because of so late in pregnancy. Anyone travelled this far in last trimester? how was it for u?
Honestly, I traveled a bit in my 8th month by road for a short trip and everything went completely smooth for my normal delivery later. But make sure u take frequent breaks to stretch your legs na. Just carry your files and some healthy snacks along.
I am currently in my 28th week and also wondering the same thing because we have a family function next month. Mere husband toh mana kar rahe hai but did u ask your doc about this? If you get any clear updates pls let me know also.
It really depends on your current health status and how the pregnancy is progressing. While short, comfortable trips might be okay for some, your doctor's advice is absolutely the best guide here. Just get a final go-ahead from them before booking anything.
Actually my doctor explained that travel restrictions in the third trimester depend on whether it's a high risk pregnancy or not. Usually, airlines don't allow after 36 weeks and even road travel can trigger early contractions if roads are bad. He told me to avoid long trips entirely during these last months.

Third trimester is very sensitive so pls check with your gynac before making any plans. Safety of the baby comes first and only your doctor can tell after seeing your scans. I personally avoided any travel after 7 months just to be safe.
