We have to go to my parents place and its a 6 hour train journey. Im 5 months along, feeling fine mostly. just wondering if the long sitting and the train jerks are okay at this stage. anyone travelled like this?
I commuted by train till my 7th month. Avoid peak crowd timings, keep ur bags light and ask someone for the seat if needed, dont be shy. Long distance trips, go for AC and lower berth and break up the journey if possible.
Generally trains are considered safe in pregnancy, more so in the middle months. The main precautions are hydration, moving your legs, and not straining. But the safest answer is to confirm with ur own doctor based on how your pregnancy is going.
I travelled by train to my mom's place around 6 months and it was smooth. My family made sure I had a lower berth and didn't lift anything heavy. Second trimester is usually the easiest time for travel.
It can be fine but it really depends on ur pregnancy. I had some issues so my doctor told me to avoid long journeys in my last weeks. Please check with ur gynac about your specific case before booking, especially if travel is long.
Train is actually one of the more comfortable ways to travel pregnant, better than bumpy roads. I did it in my second trimester. Just book lower berth, carry water and snacks, and walk a bit in the aisle to avoid leg stiffness.
