Is it safe to use benzoyl peroxide during pregnancy?

My skin has broken out so badly since i got pregnant, never had acne this bad before. I have an old face wash with this in it sitting in my drawer. Not sure if i can keep using it now, anyone know?

I asked my gynac about this because my acne got bad. She said to be careful with strong acne actives in pregnancy and switched me to a gentler routine. Honestly pregnancy acne calms down later for many, so dont panic.

I read that some skin actives are best avoided during pregnancy. I stopped mine and just used a mild cleanser and moisturiser. Best to run your skincare products by your doctor once, they know your case.

My app flagged a few skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy actually. I shifted to a pregnancy safe routine and it was fine. Ask your derma or gynac to be sure though.
