I spend a lot of time on my phone, scrolling, calls, work everything. Now my MIL keeps saying radiation is not good for the baby and im second guessing myself. Is there actually anything to worry about or is it just a myth?
There's no credible proof that regular phone use harms pregnancy. The bigger factors are your posture, eye strain and sleep. If a specific worry is bugging you, your gynac can reassure you better than internet forwards.
Using your phone normally is fine, there's no solid evidence it harms the baby. The real issue is too much screen time hurting your sleep and neck. I just avoided scrolling late at night, that's the practical concern.
If phones harmed pregnancies, half the moms in my building would be in trouble, including me glued to baby apps. Relax, normal use is okay. The only danger is your thumb getting tired from all the googling, ask me how I know.
I'm on my phone all day for work, so I'd be in trouble if it wasnt safe haha. It's fine. I just took breaks, stretched my neck and kept it off near bedtime to sleep better.
I worried about radiation a lot too, all those forwards scared me. But everything I read said normal phone use is okay. What did stress me was doom-scrolling pregnancy stuff at 1am, so I started keeping it away before bed. That helped more honestly.
