I used to do treadmill regularly before and now im 14 weeks. Dont want to stop my routine completely but also dont want to overdo anything. Is gentle walking on it okay at this stage?
I walked on the treadmill till my 7th month but only after my gynac cleared me. I kept it to a flat slow walk, no incline, no running. If your doctor says your pregnancy is low risk it's usually fine, just go gentle.
Honestly I was scared of the treadmill, I kept imagining slipping. So I just walked outside in the park instead, felt safer to me. If you do use it please tie your shoes properly and don't keep it fast.
Did it both my pregnancies. Keep the speed low, hold the rails if you feel off balance, and stop the moment you feel dizzy or breathless. Don't try to push your old pace, that time is not for setting records.
Please ask your gynac first before deciding. I had some bleeding early on and my doctor told me no treadmill at all for a few weeks. Every pregnancy is different so don't just go by what worked for others.
For me treadmill was actually convenient because I could squeeze 20 mins after work without going out in traffic. I kept it slow and flat. Just get the doctor's okay first and you should be fine.
