im ttc and this cycle im noticing some itching here and there which is unusual for me. could this be an early sign or am i just reading too much into every little thing? anyone experienced this?
Beta, itching is not really a typical sign of early pregnancy. My mom and my MIL used to say that mostly it's missed periods and feeling tired or nauseous that are the first signs. Sometimes your skin might feel a bit different, but it's usually not the main indicator. Don't worry too much about it, dear.
Not usually, no. Itching isn't a common or reliable early pregnancy symptom. While skin can get dry or sensitive, which could cause itching, that's not directly related to conception. In later stages, cholestasis can cause severe itching, but that's a different concern. For early pregnancy, look for a missed period, breast tenderness, or nausea.
Oh, sweetheart, I totally understand how you're looking for every possible sign when you're hoping for good news! But actually, itching isn't a very common sign of *early* pregnancy. It's usually things like a missed period, extreme tiredness, or some nausea that are the first clues. Your body is doing so much, though, so some changes are normal. Don't worry too much, okay?
Itching can be a sign of many things, but not typically early pregnancy itself. In later pregnancy, some women experience itching due to stretching skin or sometimes a more serious liver condition called cholestasis, which needs a doctor's check. For early signs, it's usually things like missed period and nausea. Always hydrate well and keep your skin moisturized, which is good for fitness too!
Honestly, for me, in early pregnancy, I felt really tired, and my breasts were so sore! I didn't experience any itching then. Sometimes in the third trimester, my skin stretched and felt itchy, but that's much later. So, I don't think itching is a common early sign, but every body is different, right?
