I ordered a pizza and it had jalapenos on top, ate quite a few before realising. Now im 2nd trimester and just wondering if spicy stuff like this is ok or should i avoid? Anyone else had it without any issue?
Actually I read up on this and also asked my gynac during my checkup. Jalapenos are rich in vitamin C which is great, but they can cause bad acidity in the later months. So my doc said small portions are perfectly safe if u can tolerate the spice.
Better to keep it limited, because severe acidity means running to the hospital and paying extra for medicines and tests. We already have so many delivery expenses coming up, why invite extra health issues? Just have a little bit of it at home.
It is fine to eat jalapenos dear, just don't have too much of it. My mom always said too much spice is not good. Just keep it mild and enjoy your food.
Omg even I love jalapenos, especially on cheesy garlic bread! I am planning my pregnancy right now and literally wondering if I will have to give up all spicy food. Good to know we can have some!
Yaar, jalapeno cravings are so real, especially with cheese burst pizza! I eat them quite often and just drink a glass of cold milk afterwards if it gets too spicy. Enjoy your cravings, pregnancy is all about eating what u like!
Honestly, because of my PCOS history I was always super careful with spicy things to avoid gut issues. I did have a little bit of jalapeno on pizza sometimes and it was fine, but just watch how your stomach reacts na.
Arey, in this 3rd trimester even water is giving me acidity, so jalapenos are like a distant dream now! If your stomach can handle it, go for it na. I am just counting days to my delivery now, so tired of this heartburn.
