I love eating dates (khajur) and often have them as a snack. I want to know if they are safe to consume throughout pregnancy, or if there are any restrictions.
yes, dates are totally fine. i used to carry them in my bag to office to curb my sweet cravings. just keep the count low in the first trimester if you're worried about heat.
having lost a pregnancy earlier, i was terrified of eating dates because people said they produce heat. I only started eating them in the 9th month after my gynac gave a green light. please check with your doctor first if u have any history.
oh i ate so many dates because carrying twins meant double the energy crash! they are great for iron, but don't eat a whole box together or you'll be running to the washroom lol. 2-4 a day is more than enough.
of course they are safe. I ate them during both my pregnancies and had healthy babies. they keep constipation away, which is a major issue otherwise. eat 2 daily, no harm at all.
i couldn't digest anything because of heavy vomiting, but dates were a savior. they are sweet and easy to chew when u can't tolerate heavy food. try eating just one in the morning to see if it suits your stomach.
dates are a natural blessing full of strength. eat them with a positive mind, they are very good for baby's growth. may god bless u with a healthy journey ahead.
dates are excellent because they are high in fiber, potassium, and folate. my doctor said eating them, especially in the 3rd trimester, can help with cervical ripening. but she strictly warned to avoid them if u have high blood sugar.
my baby tracker app had a whole article on dates! they are packed with iron and natural sugars. i tracked my daily intake and stuck to 3-4 dates daily in my second trimester.
