its so hot here and i really feel like having kokum sharbat to cool down. mom makes it at home. but not sure if its ok in pregnancy or if i should avoid. im 5 months. anyone had it?
We use kokum a lot at home and my family said it helps digestion. I enjoyed a glass now and then in pregnancy. Still, for any food doubt I always asked my doctor first, just to be sure.
Actually kokum sharbat was my saviour in summer pregnancy yaar, so cooling for acidity. I had it in small amounts and it was fine. Just dont add too much sugar na, keep it light.
Kokum itself is okay but the readymade syrups can be loaded with sugar, which I had to avoid. If you make it light at home it is better. Watch the sugar part especially.
Ahh kokum is so refreshing, I craved it badly in my second trimester. A chilled glass once in a while felt heavenly. Just moderation, dont go finishing the whole bottle like me ha.
