I love bhindi and was making it almost daily, but somebody at home said avoid karo during pregnancy. Is there any truth to this na or can i keep eating?
When I was at Cloudnine, the hospital dietitian actually gave me a whole list of safe vegetables, and lady finger was definitely on it. But honestly, just ask your doctor or the nutrition staff on your next visit. They are always super helpful and will clear all your doubts instantly.
Bhindi is totally safe ho na, nothing to worry. Mere ghar pe to almost weekly banti thi, it is very light on stomach. Just wash it nicely with warm water and cook properly, everything will be fine.
Of course it is absolutely safe! I ate bhindi all through both my pregnancies, it is actually rich in folic acid and helps with constipation too. Just wash it properly to get rid of any dirt or pesticides, cook it well, and enjoy your meal.
I think bhindi is safe but actually you should always double check with your gynac once before adding anything new to your daily diet. Everyone's body reacts differently during these nine months. Better to be safe and take professional advice for peace of mind.
Oh bhindi was one of the few things I could actually digest when I had severe vomiting in my first trimester. Try to make it simple, dry, and less oily if you are feeling nauseous. It is completely safe and won't make u feel heavy.
