I had been planning to get lasik done for ages and finally booked it, then found out im pregnant. Now im not sure if i should go ahead or postpone it. Has anyone done it while expecting or were you told to wait?
Most clinics themselves recommend waiting until after pregnancy for Lasik, partly because vision can shift during these months. Best to just postpone it and ask your ophthalmologist for the right time later.
I'd really hold off on any elective procedure during pregnancy unless absolutely needed. Lasik can wait. Please talk to both your eye doctor and gynac before deciding anything like this.
There's no rush for this beta, it can easily wait a few months. Your eyes can even change a bit during pregnancy, so doing it later gives a more stable result anyway. Check with your eye doctor and relax.
From what I understood, doctors usually advise postponing Lasik during pregnancy because hormones can temporarily change your vision and the medicines and drops involved arent ideal. My eye doctor said wait till after delivery and breastfeeding. Definitely confirm with your eye specialist.
