My MIL keeps giving me a big glass of lassi everyday saying it is good for the baby. I do like it but thoda heavy lagta hai sometimes. Is sweet lassi actually fine daily or better to keep it limited?
According to my pregnancy tracker, yogurt-based drinks like lassi are excellent sources of calcium and probiotics for the baby's development. It really helped me manage my acid reflux. Just track your sugar intake if you're having the sweet version!
I drink fresh sweet lassi almost every afternoon in my second trimester because of the heat, but I sometimes worry if the sugar is too much. Does anyone else crave sweet lassi daily or should I switch to salted chaas?
It is actually very good for digestion and calcium. My doctor told me that buttermilk or salted lassi is much better than sweet lassi because it keeps hydration levels up without spiking blood sugar. Just make sure it is freshly made at home.
