A friend gifted me some lemon balm tea for sleep and i really want to try it na, im not sleeping well these days. But not sure if its ok in pregnancy. Anyone tried herbal teas?
Honestly, when you're managing work and pregnancy, a quick cup of tea helps with stress. Lemon balm tea is okay to have once in a while, but don't treat it like regular chai, keep it limited.
In my family, they always recommend simple ginger or jeera water for relaxation. While lemon balm tea is considered safe in small amounts, I still asked my doctor before taking it regularly.
I actually drank lemon balm tea quite a bit in my third trimester to calm my nerves, and it really helped. Just buy a good organic brand and don't make it too strong.
Ugh, my morning sickness was so bad that even water made me nauseous, but warm lemon and ginger tea was a lifesaver. Lemon balm tea is also nice for nausea, just don't have too many cups a day.
I'm in my second trimester now and was just thinking about trying lemon balm tea for my sleep issues! Is anyone else here taking it regularly, or did your doctor advise against herbal teas? I'm always so worried about trying new things.
I used to drink a weak cup of lemon balm tea occasionally when I was pregnant to relax, and it worked well. Just don't overdo herbal teas, limit it to one cup a day and see how your body reacts.
Because of my PCOS history, I was very careful with any herbs or special teas. Lemon balm is generally fine in moderation, but I'd suggest starting with a very light brew and checking with your gynac first just to be safe.
