I love lemongrass chai but someone told me to avoid it now that im expecting. Im 11 weeks. Is it actually unsafe ya thoda is fine? confused, anyone checked with their doc about this?
I know how confusing it is when you want to drink something soothing for your nausea but find out so many natural things are risky. Yes, lemongrass is best avoided in high amounts like herbal teas because of safety concerns. Sending you a big hug, this phase has so many food restrictions but it will pass soon!
Haan, thoda dhyan toh rakhna padega. Khane me thoda chal jata hai, par lemongrass ki chai bana kar mat pina bilkul bhi, safety first na. Normal adrak wali chai pi lo, wo sabse best aur safe hai pregnancy me.
I had to be extremely careful with my diet due to gestational diabetes, so I researched every single herb. Lemongrass in large amounts is definitely a no-go during pregnancy as it might cause contractions. Stick to simple, safe warm water or doctor-approved drinks instead.
Please be very careful with lemongrass, especially in concentrated forms like tea or essential oils. It is known to trigger uterine stimulation and can be highly risky. Because of my past loss, I preferred to stay 100% away from it and stuck to plain warm ginger tea.
Hey, don't stress too much if you already had a little bit of it in some soup or Thai curry, small culinary amounts are perfectly fine! But yeah, don't go brewing strong lemongrass green teas or taking herbal supplements right now. Just swap it for some normal ginger-elaichi chai and relax.
I completely avoided lemongrass tea during my pregnancy because my gynac warned me that in large quantities, it can cause uterine contractions. Now that I am healing from my C-section, I am still very careful about what herbs I take. If you really want it, check with your doctor first.
