From what my doctor told me, linoleic acid is just a healthy fat found in normal foods like seeds and oils, and its actually needed during pregnancy in normal dietary amounts. If ur asking about a specific supplement or cream though, better to show it to ur gynac first.
If u mean the one naturally in foods like sunflower oil, nuts and seeds, thats fine in regular eating. But if its a supplement or skincare product u saw, dont assume, just show the label to ur doctor. They will tell u clearly whether its needed.
I am not the right person to comment on the chemistry side honestly. I just ate normal home food with regular oils and my doctor never flagged anything. For anything specific like a tablet or cream, I would really just ask the gynac to be safe.
If its coming from ur regular diet, oils and seeds, no need to worry at all. The only time I check with my gynac is when its an actual supplement bottle or capsule. Whats the source ur asking about, food or a product?
