When I asked the chief nutritionist at Cloudnine, she said litchis are totally fine but we should have them fresh. Try to avoid packed litchi juices because of added preservatives. Better to double check with your own gynac once.
Arre litchi is love! I used to gulp them down like anything, baby weight increase hone se pehle litchi hi mere face pe glow laati thi. Bas seed mat swallow kar lena, else healthy and super yummy snack!
Honestly, because of my PCOS history, I was very careful with high sugar fruits like litchi. I used to eat just 3-4 pieces a day so that insulin spike na ho. Ek baar apne doctor se comfort level check kar lo safely.
I completely understand the anxiety behind every single food item, mere saath bhi same hota tha. Yes, litchi is generally safe to eat, don't worry. Just have 4-5 at a time so u feel happy and satisfied without any panic.
Haan bilkul kha sakte ho, badhiya fruit hai. It keeps u hydrated too since it has high water content. Bas moderate quantity mein khana because heavy sweetness hoti hai.
I ate so many litchis when I was pregnant and my toddler is totally fine and running around now. Just wash them nicely before eating. Thoda limit mein khao to absolutely safe hai, dont stress.
After my long IVF journey, I was scared of eating literally anything. But litchi is totally fine if eaten in limit. Just make sure they are fresh and well cleaned, and don't overthink every bite, dear.
Please be very careful with litchi if u have GD or high sugar. It is very sweet and can shoot up glucose levels quickly. I was allowed only 2 pieces occasionally by my doctor, so check your sugar levels first.
