Is little white discharge normal during pregnancy?
Noticing some white discharge since this week, not much and no smell or itching. First time mom so everything feels alarming to me. Is this a normal pregnancy thing ya should i mention to my gynac?
I freaked out and called my doctor immediately when I first saw white discharge! She calmed me down and said it's just leukorrhea, which is super normal. Unless it's smelly or itchy, you don't need to stress at all.
Yes, a little white discharge is completely normal, I had it throughout my pregnancy too. It actually protects the birth canal from infections. Just stay hydrated and don't worry about it too much.
When I noticed this, my mother reassured me that a little thin, odorless white discharge is completely natural during pregnancy. She just told me to keep the area clean and dry. Just make sure it doesn't have a bad smell or cause itching.
I had quite a bit of discharge during my pregnancy, and my doctor said it's very common. Just keep your intimate area clean and wear breathable cotton clothes. If you feel any irritation, check with your gynac, but otherwise it's fine.
To manage normal discharge, I just wore comfortable cotton panties and changed them twice a day. It is very common as estrogen levels rise. But if you notice any itching, burning, or green color, please consult your doctor immediately.
Don't let it worry you, mild white discharge is just your body's natural defense. I used to feel a bit uncomfortable during my walks, so I just changed my clothes right after. As long as it is odorless, you are perfectly fine to continue your routine.
