My BP came out on the lower side at my last checkup and i keep feeling dizzy when i stand up too fast. Im in my second trimester. Getting a bit worried, is low bp something to actually stress about?
I used to panic seeing low numbers too. My doctor calmed me saying a little low is okay in pregnancy. But I still get it checked at every visit so I have peace of mind, maybe you do the same.
My gynac told me mild low BP is common especially in early and mid pregnancy due to the blood vessels relaxing. She said get up slowly, stay hydrated and eat on time. But sudden dizziness or fainting should always be reported.
Mild low BP usually isn't something to panic about, the body changes a lot now. But keep yourself hydrated and don't stand for too long. If you ever feel like you'll black out, sit down and ring your doctor okay.
Mine dropped a bit and I'd feel woozy if I stood up too fast or skipped meals. I started keeping a snack and water at my desk and got up slowly. If it's making you faint though, get it checked, don't just push through work.
A little low BP can happen in pregnancy but if you feel dizzy, faint or your vision goes blurry, please don't ignore, call your doctor. I had a fainting episode and they checked me properly, better safe.
