My recent blood test showed low platelet count and now im a little worried about delivery time and all. Im in my third trimester. Doc said wait and watch but my mind keeps going there. Did anyone else have this?
My platelets dropped a bit before my C-section, and the doctors kept a close watch to avoid bleeding issues. It is manageable but you absolutely need your gynac to monitor it closely.
Gestational thrombocytopenia is quite common, but very low platelets can complicate delivery. You must get regular CBC tests and let your OB-GYN manage it, don't ignore this.
