We are TTC and sometimes dryness makes intercourse uncomfortable. I heard some lubricants may affect sperm, so now I am confused which type is okay. Did anyone ask doctor about this?
I had the same doubt and felt shy to ask. From what my doctor told me, regular ones arent ideal for trying, there are special fertility safe lubricants. Maybe check with your gynac quietly, they wont judge.
Some regular lubricants arent friendly to sperm when trying to conceive. There are ones labelled fertility safe or ttc friendly. If you need it, just pick those or ask your doctor for a recommendation.
Good question, I researched this too. Apparently normal lube isnt the best for conceiving but fertility specific ones are fine. Worth a quick chat with your gynac to be sure.
When we were trying my doctor said normal lubricants can actually slow the sperm, and suggested fertility friendly ones made for conceiving. So not all are good. Best to ask your gynac which brand is ttc safe.
