I sometimes crave instant noodles, especially Maggi. Is it safe to eat Maggi during pregnancy, or should I completely avoid it because of the preservatives?
Honestly, it is fine in moderation as long as you aren't eating it daily. My doctor always said eating fresh homemade food is best, but occasional cravings are absolutely fine.
Oh god, Maggi was my midnight savior when I couldn't cook! Just eat it and enjoy, but maybe don't make it a 3-meals-a-day thing or your stomach will hate you.
Having it once in a while to satisfy cravings is totally fine, but try adding lots of home veggies to make it healthier. However, if u ever feel heavy acidity or vomiting after it, better to consult your gynac.
It has high sodium and MSG, which isn't great if eaten regularly. So keep it as an occasional treat, and load it up with carrots, peas, and egg to balance out the nutrition.
I crave Maggi so much too! Did your doctor suggest any healthier noodles alternative? I usually add lots of boiled peas and skip half the tastemaker to keep it less salty.
I used to feel so guilty even thinking about Maggi during my pregnancy, thinking it would affect the baby. But honestly, as long as it's not a regular habit, a small plate of veggies-loaded Maggi is totally fine, don't worry!
