I have such bad cravings for naan, pav and biscuits these days, all maida stuff yaar. Mummy keeps scolding me to eat less of it. Is it actually harmful in pregnancy or okay if i have it once in a while?
I am planning my pregnancy now and also trying to cut down on maida since it can cause weight gain. Do you guys find it hard to completely avoid outside foods like pizza and pasta, or did you find good wheat alternatives?
Haan, thoda bohot eatable hai, par bilkul avoid karo toh better hai na. Maida digest hone me bahut time leta hai aur pregnancy me waise hi constipation ka darr rehta hai. Isse achha wheat or ragi options khao.
Try to avoid maida as much as possible because it can cause major constipation issues. After my C-section, dealing with constipation was incredibly painful during recovery, so I really wish I had eaten more fiber-rich foods instead of maida earlier.
Maida has zero nutritional value and can cause spikes in blood sugar and severe constipation. I completely avoided it and stuck to whole grains, along with my regular walks since my doctor permitted it. It's much better to choose healthier options for you and the baby.
I had a completely normal delivery and ate a balanced diet, but I did indulge in some samosas or momos occasionally! It is totally safe in moderation, just don't make it a daily habit so you stay healthy and active.
