My period is few days late and i have been getting these bad headaches for almost a week now, which is unusual for me. Now im wondering if its an early symptom. Did anyone get migraines before they found out they were pregnant?
I panicked thinking my headaches meant something serious early on, but turned out it was just hormonal and settled by second trimester. Take a test to confirm pregnancy first. And if pain is severe, your gynac is the right person to ask.
I had thyroid issues and headaches were part of my pregnancy too, so for me it was hard to tell what caused what. Thats why I kept up regular follow ups. If your migraines feel different or very severe, please get it checked, dont just assume.
When I was newly pregnant I felt these bad headaches and honestly didnt connect it to pregnancy at first. For me the hormone changes did trigger headaches in early weeks. But it was just one of many things I felt, so I wouldnt call it a sure sign on its own.
Headaches can happen in early pregnancy due to hormones, but a headache alone is not a reliable sign of pregnancy. The clearest way is a missed period and a test. If you regularly get migraines, do discuss with your doctor since some things change in pregnancy.
