Saw mothers horlicks at the chemist and everyone keeps recommending it. Im in my second trimester. Does it really help or is it just marketing? Want to know if you ladies actually took it and found any difference.
Its okay as an extra, it gives some nutrients and protein. But it doesnt replace real food or your prescribed supplements. I had it sometimes but didnt depend only on it. Ask your doc if its fine with your diet.
I used it on busy mornings when I couldnt eat properly, kind of a quick filler. Its fine as a supplement drink but real food and your iron calcium tablets matter more. Convenient though, ill be honest.
Its decent but honestly a glass of milk with some dry fruits gives similar benefit at lower cost. If you like the taste then go ahead, but dont feel you must buy it. Save it for the actual essentials.
It can give a little nutritional boost but its not necessary for everyone. If you have GD or sugar concerns check the label, it has sugar. Best to confirm with your doctor whether you actually need it.
