my saas made me mulethi kadha for throat the other day and after that i got little worried. is it safe to have during pregnancy or should i avoid? pls share if anyone knows.
Oh dear, honestly, please avoid mulethi while you are pregnant. I know how tempting herbal stuff is when you are having crazy morning sickness, but mulethi can affect your hormones and BP. Try having a bit of ginger-lemon warm water instead, it really helped settle my stomach without any risk.
Arre, better to keep mulethi on hold for now! I am in my 3rd trimester and currently dealing with a scratchy throat, but my gynac said a big NO to mulethi as it's not very safe in pregnancy. I am just surviving on warm haldi milk and steam inhalation. Good luck, hope you feel better!
Actually, it's safer to avoid mulethi completely right now. Taking unwanted risks with random herbs can lead to complications, extra scans, and hospital visits which are so expensive anyway. Just stick to basic warm water or honey, and don't take anything without asking your doctor first to save yourself any extra stress.
Honestly, do not take mulethi. Modern research shows it can have harmful effects on the baby's development and can raise your blood pressure. If you have a sore throat or cough, just consult your gynac for a safe prescription instead of trying traditional herbs blindly.
I would highly suggest staying away from mulethi. When I had gestational diabetes, I researched everything so carefully, and my doctor strictly said no to mulethi because it can mess with blood pressure and hormones. Stick to simple warm water or talk to your doctor for safe herbal teas.
