We went to a seaside place last weekend and everyone was having mussels but i didnt touch them. Honestly i dont know much about seafood and now im 14 weeks so being extra careful. Anyone here ate them while pregnant?
Seafood we eat a lot at home, my amma always says it must be very fresh and fully cooked. Mussels can be ok if properly cooked but never raw or half done. I still asked my doctor about quantity to be safe.
I would be a bit careful with shellfish, my pregnancy had some issues so I avoided risky foods. If you really want it, eat well cooked and small amount. But pls run it by your gynac first.
Honestly if it is not super fresh I would skip it, food poisoning ka risk and then extra doctor bills. Cooked fully it should be fine in small qty. Just buy from a trusted place.
