My mom keeps making paya soup for me saying it gives strength n good for the baby bones. Im in my 5th month, non veg is fine for me but just wanted to check is it really ok to have often? anyone had it during pregnancy?
Actually it is a good protein source and not too expensive if you make at home. I used to have the soup once a week, felt warm and nice. Just buy fresh meat from a trusted shop.
At home my mother always made paya soup, she says it is good for bones and strength. I had it in small amounts, well cooked. Just make sure it is fully cooked and check with your doctor if you have any issue.
It can be okay in moderation but I had to be careful because of my sugar levels. Please ask your gynac how often is fine for you, everyone's case is different.
In our家 paya is given for strength after delivery also. Bas it should be fresh and properly cooked, no half cooked meat at all during this time. Light soup form is best.
Protein is good in pregnancy honestly. But quantity and frequency depend on your health, so doctor advice is best here. I kept mine to occasional soup only.
