We are non veg at home and mutton is cooked almost every weekend. Now that im pregnant my mom is telling me to avoid it but i really crave it sometimes. wanted to know what others do, is it okay to eat?
Yes, as long as its fresh and cooked thoroughly, no pink inside. I had it both pregnancies, good for iron and protein. Just dont eat it undercooked or from a doubtful place.
It was fine for me as a protein source, just keep it well cooked and not too oily. I balanced it with veggies. If you have any health condition, run your diet by the doctor though.
