My mom keeps giving me nellikai saying its full of vitamin c and good for me. Im in 2nd trimester now. Is it actually fine to have daily during pregnancy?
In our family, my mother-in-law insisted I have nellikai daily for immunity. My doctor also agreed it's great for iron absorption, but advised against having the salted or pickled ones too much.
It is generally safe and healthy, but since I was extra cautious in my pregnancy, I always cooked it or had it as a mild homemade murabba. Just make sure it is washed properly before eating.
Haan, amla toh bohot accha hota hai pregnancy me! It has lots of vitamin C which is great. Just don't have too many raw ones daily, thoda limits me hi khana na.
Oh, I used to gobble up nellikai with a pinch of salt to stop my vomiting! It is awesome for nausea but can cause acidity if you overdo it, so don't eat it like candy, haha!
I recently delivered and amla juice was my savior for constipation during my third trimester. It really works wonders. Just buy organic or make it fresh at home.
