Having a bad ear infection going on and someone suggested ofloxacin drops which i had used before pregnancy. But now im 5 months along and scared to use anything without checking. Will confirm with my doc but wanted to know if anyone used ear drops while pregnant.
Dont go by what worked for someone else with any medicine in pregnancy. Call your gynac, tell them its ear pain and the drop name, let them confirm. Easy 2 min call.
Even though its just ear drops please dont use it without asking your gynac. They will tell you if its okay for you, ear infections in pregnancy should be seen by a doc anyway.
Drops are usually less absorbed than tablets, but in pregnancy I'd never decide on my own. Ring your doctor, mention you're pregnant, and they will pick a safe option for your ear.
I get so anxious about any medicine in pregnancy, totally understand. Best to not use it till the doctor says yes, just to be safe. Get that ear checked properly too.
