I love bhindi and im eating it almost daily these days, im around 8 weeks. My MIL keeps saying some veggies should be avoided early on so now im a bit confused. Is okra actually fine in first trimester?
We make vendakkai a lot at home, very common veg and totally okay during pregnancy. Folate rich also. As long as you wash and cook it properly no worry.
Haan its fine, dont overthink one vegetable yaar. I ate bhindi like twice a week and all good. Variety is the main thing, dont eat only one sabzi daily.
Okra is good, it actually has fiber which is nice. When I had sugar issue in pregnancy my dietician kept bhindi in my list. Just watch how its cooked, ghar ka simple sabzi is best.
Beta okra is a good vegetable, we always ate it. Just dont overdo the masala and oil, keep it light. Fresh sabzi is always better than packed or fried stuff.
Bhindi is totally fine and actually quite good, it has folate which is important early on. I ate it through my whole pregnancy. Just make sure its cooked well and not too oily.
