I had pizza with oregano seasoning and then suddenly thought whether it is okay in pregnancy. I dont mean oregano oil, just the dried seasoning. Did anyone avoid it?
As a normal food flavour, oregano is fine, I used it through both pregnancies. Just dont take oregano oil or any concentrated herbal supplement form. Cooking herb in regular quantity, no issue.
The amount you use as a kitchen herb is considered safe. The caution is only about high doses like oregano oil or essential oil, which you wouldnt use in cooking anyway. If you ever consider any herbal supplement, then check with your doctor first.
The sprinkle of oregano on your pizza or pasta is totally fine yaar, that small food amount is nothing to worry about. I had it many times during my craving days haha. It is only concentrated oregano oil or supplements that you should skip, not the seasoning.
Dont stress over the pizza seasoning honestly, it is such a tiny amount. Enjoy your food. Just steer clear of strong herbal oils or pills, the normal sprinkle is all good.
