Someone in family suggested papaya leaf juice for low platelets but ive always heard papaya and pregnancy dont mix. Now im thoda confused. Has anyone asked their gynac about this?
I personally stayed away from papaya stuff during pregnancy because everyone in my family warned against it. I cant say medically but I just didnt take the risk. Better ask ur gynac before having papaya leaf for anything.
Papaya leaf is usually taken for platelets in dengue and that is a different situation. During pregnancy I would not take any leaf or kadha without doctor okay. Pls check with your doc, especially if its for a fever or illness.
In our house elders always said avoid raw papaya during these months. I wouldnt have papaya leaf juice on my own ma. If a doctor recommends it for a reason then thats different, but otherwise skip it.
Raw papaya and papaya stuff is generally something docs ask to avoid in pregnancy. If you need papaya leaf for low platelets due to some infection, that is a medical decision, dont self start it. Talk to your gynac first.
