I honestly crave peanut butter toast every morning now, 2nd trimester and the hunger is real. But my MIL said it might not be good and now im confused. Is it okay to keep eating na?
I asked my gynac about this exact thing and she said peanut butter is fine and even good for protein. The old advice about avoiding peanuts to prevent baby allergy isnt really backed anymore. Just eat in normal amounts.
I felt nervous eating it at first because of allergy talk, but doc cleared it. It became my go to evening snack and I felt so much more energetic. Such a small comfort food during those tiring days.
Peanut butter was my whole personality during pregnancy honestly. Spoon straight from the jar, no shame. It's safe and tasty, just dont finish the whole jar in one sitting like I almost did haha.
Yes totally safe unless you have a peanut allergy. I had it on toast almost daily, great protein and keeps you full. Just go for the kind without too much added sugar or oil.
