I get bad headaches and usually rub peppermint oil on my forehead, it helps. But now in pregnancy im not sure if its fine to use. 18 weeks here. Anyone using it?
I actually use a diffuser with peppermint oil to help with my morning sickness and it really helps me feel fresh. Is anyone else using it topically for back pain, or is that not safe? I should probably ask my gynac in my next visit.
I totally understand how exhausting it is to deal with those nasty pregnancy headaches and nausea, sweetheart. A little sniff of peppermint oil can bring some gentle relief, but please be very careful not to ingest it. Your safety and your baby's comfort are the most important things.
If peppermint oil can magically give me 8 hours of sleep, I'd bathe in it, haha! Inhaling it or putting a drop on a tissue for nausea is fine, but don't drink it or use it heavily. Honestly, just ask your doc before trying any fancy essential oils.
For headaches or nausea, simple ginger tea or smelling a fresh lemon works wonders and is completely free of risk! Peppermint oil is okay to smell occasionally, but don't apply it directly on your skin. Keep things simple and safe.
Nausea and headaches are so tough to handle, I completely understand. While diffusing peppermint oil is generally okay, please avoid ingesting it or applying it directly to your skin without dilution. It's always safest to double-check with your doctor first.
