I used to love my cold drink with meals but now im in my second tri and feeling guilty everytime i sip one. Had half a glass at a function yesterday and now overthinking it. Is occasional pepsi really that bad?
I had gestational diabetes so soft drinks were a strict no for me because of the sugar load. Even otherwise the sugar in these adds up fast. If you do want a treat, keep it very occasional and mention it to your doctor.
Oh the cravings for something fizzy are so real, I get it. I just allowed myself a tiny glass once in a while and didnt make it a daily thing. Mostly I switched to soda with lemon to feel like I was having something fun.
An occasional sip wont harm, but having soft drinks regularly isnt great, too much sugar and caffeine. I just cut down to rare occasions both times. Water, nimbu pani and fresh juice are far better through pregnancy.
