I love pineapple but my mom keeps saying its garam and not good in pregnancy. Im 14 weeks now and craving some honestly. Is it actually a problem or just an old myth? anyone ate it safely?
I asked my gynac this exact thing. She laughed and said moderate amounts are perfectly safe, the bromelain scare needs enormous quantities to matter. She just said don't overdo any single fruit. So a normal serving is totally okay.
Beta, in our homes elders say avoid pineapple, especially early on, just to be cautious. A few small pieces here and there won't harm, but huge amounts maybe skip. When unsure, a little less is the safe path.
Yaar this pineapple thing is honestly overhyped. Actually a normal slice or two is completely fine, my doc said so. Just don't eat a whole pineapple in one sitting and chill.
A normal amount of pineapple is fine, the whole big myth is overblown. You'd have to eat a crazy quantity for anything, which nobody does. I ate it in fruit bowls in both pregnancies, no problem.
