Someone gifted us a plum cake and i really want to have a slice but then i remembered some have rum or alcohol in them. Im 5 months pregnant. Is the normal bakery wala one safe? thoda confused.
You can have a small piece to satisfy your craving, but make sure it is alcohol-free. Keep up with your daily walks to digest it well, if your doctor has allowed physical activity.
Commercial plum cakes without alcohol are safe to eat. Try to drink warm water after having sweet things to keep digestion good, but if you have any stomach upset, do ask your doctor.
If it is a regular non-alcoholic plum cake, a small slice is totally fine. Just make sure it doesn't have any rum or alcohol-soaked dry fruits, which are common in traditional ones.
Just buy a normal bakery plum cake that doesn't have alcohol. Don't go for expensive gourmet ones, regular store-bought eggless plum cake is safe and perfectly fine in moderation.
