My mom keeps sending anar daily saying its good for the baby's blood. I do enjoy it but wanted to confirm if eating the seeds regularly is actually beneficial. im in my second trimester.
Anar is considered very good in pregnancy beta, our elders always gave it for blood and strength. I had it almost daily and felt it helped my haemoglobin. Just wash well and eat fresh, nothing to worry there.
My family swears by pomegranate for the baby and for haemoglobin, and my doctor was happy with me eating it too. Fresh seeds, washed properly. Its one of those fruits everyone agrees is good.
Pomegranate is great, good for iron and tasty too. I ate the seeds or had the juice through both pregnancies. Just normal amounts, no need to overdo any one fruit.
It is healthy with good iron, but it does have natural sugar so I kept the portion small after my GD diagnosis. Fresh seeds over juice is better for sugar control. Otherwise its a lovely fruit for pregnancy.
