I was taking prednisolone for an old condition before i found out im pregnant, around 6 weeks now. Im a little tense ki it might affect the baby. I'll obviously confirm with my gynac, but wanted to know if anyone here was on this during pregnancy?
I had a complicated pregnancy leading to a C-section, and I learned that we must be extremely careful with meds. Only take prednisolone if your doctor has evaluated you and given the green light. Don't take chances.
Listen to me, bacha. Prednisolone is a strong medicine and should never be self-prescribed during pregnancy. Please call your gynac immediately and ask them if it is safe for your specific condition. Take care.
Don't rely on random internet forums for prescription drug safety. Prednisolone is a steroid and its safety depends on your dosage and trimester. Just call your doctor's clinic directly and verify with them, it will take 5 minutes.
I can't give any medical advice on this as I'm not a doctor. But personally, my gynac did prescribe a low dose of prednisolone for my severe allergies in the second trimester, and it was safe for me. Please ask your own doctor.
Honestly, my sleep-deprived brain can barely remember my own name, let alone medicine safety! But seriously, never take steroids like prednisolone without asking your doctor first. Don't risk it, consult your gynac.
I had to take a lot of precautions due to my PCOS, and my doctor was very specific about medicines. Prednisolone is a steroid, so please don't take it unless your gynac has specifically prescribed it for you. Your doctor knows your case best.
