My digestion has been all over the place this trimester and a friend suggested probiotic supplements. Before i start anything i wanted to know if its actually safe during pregnancy. Did anyone take them and was your gynac ok with it?
Food probiotics like curd and homemade buttermilk are totally fine and I ate them daily. For probiotic supplements or capsules, run it by your gynac first. Food source, no issue at all.
My doctor said dietary probiotics like dahi are good for digestion during pregnancy. For any supplement form she wanted to know the brand and check it first. So natural ones yes, the pill ones, ask before starting.
Curd, chaas and fermented foods helped my digestion so much in pregnancy, very gentle and safe. If you mean a probiotic supplement, better to confirm with your doc rather than just buying one. For tummy troubles that wont settle, see the gynac.
Yaar I had curd everyday and it actually helped with bloating. Natural probiotics are safe. But actually if its a supplement, just confirm with gynac before popping it, dont assume.
