My gynac put me on progesterone after my reports and i didnt fully understand why. Some friends say everyone gets it, some say only if theres a risk. Just trying to understand its role, pls share if u took it too.
My doctor said progesterone is given when there is a specific reason, like spotting, a history of loss or fertility treatment. For a normal healthy pregnancy it is often not required. She decided based on my history.
It is not needed for everyone, but in some cases like mine the doctor prescribes it for support. It really depends on your situation, so please let your gynac decide, not online advice.
I was given it in early weeks because of my background, but I wouldnt assume every pregnancy needs it. Your doctor knows whether you do, please dont start it on your own.
