Is prominent renal pelvis in pregnancy means its a boy?
My anomaly scan mentioned prominent renal pelvis and my MIL keeps saying it means ladka hai. I dont really believe these things but got curious na. Has anyone heard this before?
In our times, we didn't have such detailed scans, beta. These things are common and usually resolve on their own before birth. Just drink coconut water and stay hydrated, and don't stress about boy or girl—both are blessings.
Don't let these scan terms stress u out. Keep doing your light exercises or walking if your doctor has allowed it, as staying active keeps your mind calm. Let the doctor monitor the kidney size in the next scan.
Currently in my 3rd trimester with swollen feet and zero sleep, and honestly, these old wives' tales are so funny! My scan also showed this and everyone at home started guessing it's a boy. Let's see who wins when the baby actually arrives, I just want this pregnancy to end now lol!
My son had a prominent renal pelvis in the 20-week anomaly scan and the doctor said it's very common, especially in boys. It completely resolved on its own by the time he was born. I'm breastfeeding him right now and he is perfectly healthy, so don't worry!
I know you must be wondering about the gender, but please don't focus too much on these scan details for that. My baby also had a prominent renal pelvis and I was so sick with constant vomiting that I couldn't even care. Just focus on your health and take your prescribed meds.
Oh, I panicked so badly when I saw "prominent renal pelvis" on my report! I cried thinking something was wrong with my baby's kidneys, but the doctor reassured me it's very common and harmless in most cases. It had nothing to do with the gender for me, and my baby was perfectly fine!
