My MIL keeps telling me to take protinex for the baby's growth. I dont know if its actually meant for pregnancy or just general health. Anyone took it during this time?

These powders are not cheap honestly, and you often dont need them. Eggs, dal, milk, peanuts give plenty of protein for much less. I would ask the doctor first instead of spending on something you may not need.
Protein supplements like that can be fine, but please check with your gynac before starting any. Mine said I was getting enough protein from food so I didnt need it. It really depends on your diet, so ask before buying.
Some of these powders have added sugar, so with GD I had to be careful which one. There are diabetic friendly versions but only take what the doctor approves. Honestly dal, eggs, paneer and milk gave me good protein naturally.
