I was checking the ingredient list on my face cream and saw this one written. now im scared to use it, im 9 weeks. did anyone check with their doc about such skincare ingredients?
I scanned my skincare on one of those pregnancy safe apps and retinyl palmitate came up as avoid. I just switched to vitamin C and hyaluronic stuff for those months, worked fine. But the app isnt a doctor so I confirmed with my gynac too.
Anything with retinol/retinyl in pregnancy I always say check first. Not worth the risk for skincare. Show the ingredient list to ur gynac na, she'll tell u clearly.
This is a vitamin A derivative, usually they say avoid the strong retinol skincare during pregnancy. If its in a small amount in some cream maybe fine but honestly easiest is to just pause it for 9 months and switch to gentle stuff. Ask ur doc to be sure.
I would be careful with this one. Retinyl palmitate is a form of vitamin A and high doses arent recommended in pregnancy, my doctor told me to stop my retinol face cream completely. Pls just show the product to ur gynac before using, better safe.
I cant say if its safe medically, but I personally stopped all my anti aging creams the moment I found out I was pregnant. Just felt better to keep it simple those months.
