Its mango season and i cant resist them at all. But my mil keeps saying mangoes are too heaty and not good in pregnancy. Is ripe mango actually fine to eat, how much is ok?
Yes ripe mango is fine and tasty, good vitamins too. Just dont eat five in a sitting, it's sweet. One a day in season is perfect. Pick naturally ripened ones and wash well.
Mango season during my pregnancy was pure bliss honestly. I had my fix daily, just one portion though. So much joy in that sweetness, dont deny yourself, just keep it sensible.
Mango is fine but it is high in natural sugar, so portion matters a lot. With my GD I had just a few small pieces, not a whole one. If your sugar is normal you can have more, but still dont overdo daily.
Aam is wonderful beta, full of goodness. Old folks soak it in water a while before eating to reduce the heat. Have a ripe one, just not too many in this heat, and naturally ripened is best.
