My rubella came non immune in the pre pregnancy tests and now im already expecting. Getting confused whether the vaccine can be taken now or not. Anyone had similar situation?
When we were planning, my doctor checked my rubella immunity first and I got the shot before trying. They asked me to wait a bit after the vaccine before conceiving. So it is a before pregnancy thing.
My gynac specifically said the rubella vaccine is given before pregnancy, not during, because it is a live vaccine. They check your immunity in the pre pregnancy tests. If you are already pregnant, dont take it, just discuss with your doctor.
This one is meant to be taken before conceiving, not while pregnant. I got mine done in my pre pregnancy check up. Please do not take it now if pregnant, only your doctor should advise.
