I used to run 4-5 km regularly before getting pregnant and i really miss it. Now im 12 weeks and feeling fine, no issues so far. Did any of you keep running in pregnancy or should i switch to walking?
Honestly this is very individual. For some experienced runners with a low risk pregnancy it may be allowed early on, for others not. The only sensible answer is to ask your own gynac before deciding.
If you were a runner before and your doctor clears it, light running can be fine in early pregnancy, but most switch to brisk walking later. I moved to walking and prenatal yoga once my gynac advised. Always get her okay first, every body is different.
I would be cautious here, especially if you have any risk factors. In my case the doctor told me no running at all. Please dont start or continue running without your gynac specifically saying it is safe for you.
