Everyone in ghar is giving me kesar in milk these days saying its good. I do like the taste but want to know is it actually beneficial ya just a myth? second trimester chal raha hai mera. pls share.
In our family, elders recommend taking saffron with milk from the second trimester to improve digestion. However, I checked with my doctor first, and she said 2 strands a day is perfectly fine.
My mother-in-law insisted I start having kesar milk from the fifth month onwards for baby's health. I just take 2-3 strands in warm milk at night, it actually helps with sleep!
Kesar is good in moderation, just 2-3 strands are enough. I had a C-section and my doctor said keeping a healthy diet throughout pregnancy helps with postpartum recovery, so focus on overall nutrition.
Saffron is fine in small amounts after the first trimester, but if you have thyroid issues like I did, make sure to get your blood tests done regularly and ask your doctor before adding anything new to your daily diet.
