My husband bought some sailfish and im not sure about eating it now that im pregnant. I know some big fish are not recommended but not sure about this one. Has anyone had it during pregnancy?
I'm not sure about sailfish, I've heard some fish are not good because of mercury. I think it's better to avoid fish with high mercury levels when trying to conceive or during pregnancy. Maybe ask your doctor to be safe?
With my thyroid condition during pregnancy, my doctor was very specific about diet, especially fish. Sailfish is generally on the list of fish to avoid due to high mercury. It's always best to discuss your diet with your gynac, especially if you have any existing health issues, to ensure it's safe for you and the baby.
Sailfish? Hmm, I was told to stay away from the big fishes during my twin pregnancy because of mercury. I mean, you're already growing two humans, no need to add mercury to the mix, haha! Better stick to safer, smaller fish options.
Oh, when I had morning sickness, even the thought of some foods made me queasy! Sailfish is known to be high in mercury, which is not good for baby's development. It's safer to avoid fish like sailfish, shark, or king mackerel during pregnancy, even if you're craving seafood.
It's so normal to worry about every single thing you eat when you're pregnant, I completely get it! For sailfish, it's generally advised to avoid it because of the high mercury content, which isn't good for your baby. Your doctor will surely guide you on safe seafood choices, so don't hesitate to ask them.
